VINIUM Architectural Wine Storage® was created by Ed Loughran, the owner of Charles River Wine Cellars of Walpole, Massachusetts. Ed and his team have been designing and building award winning traditional wine cellars since 2000.  In 2011, Ed noticed that there were few options available for the wine connoisseur who wanted a sophisticated, contemporary architectural wine storage solution. 

 

Simply put, existing traditional products did not effectively combine several distinct yet complementary design elements; namely metal, wood, stone, and light. Enter VINIUM. Our original product, VINIUM Classic, features these four distinctive elements while keeping the focus on the wine collection. In addition to offering all premium hardwoods, we offer an acrylic option as well.  We are proud to announce that our VINIUM Architectural Wine Storage® system has been registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is offered exclusively by VINIUM and Charles River Wine Cellars.
